On Tuesday 9th October 2018 TES were visited by Probus,\u00a0the Association of retired and semi-retired professional and business personnel. Probus operate in localised clubs throughout Ireland, Britain and the rest of the world with members participating in a wide range of business related activities, including visiting organisations of particular interest.<\/p>\n
The word PROBUS is an abbreviation of the words PROfessional and BUSiness but membership is not restricted to these two groups as it also embraces former executives of government and other organisations. The first Probus Club specifically for active retirees was formed in 1966 by the Rotary Club of Caterham, England, to allow retired professionals to continue to meet together for fellowship. The inaugural luncheon took place on the 2 March 1966, officially forming the first Probus Club.<\/p>\n
During their visit to TES the Probus network listened to a presentation about TES, delivered by Chairman Brian Taylor covering business history, goals and objectives and information about the markets in which TES are active and received a tour of the TES HQ premise. Commenting on the visit TES Chairman Brian Taylor said “It was great having the Probus network visit the TES premises today to learn more about what TES do and what our goals for the future are and also to learn from some of their own past business experiences”.<\/p>\n
