TES have recently been awarded a project for the Republic of Iraq Ministry of Municipality and Public Works’ as part of the extensive Al Shatra Sewerage Scheme.<\/p>\n
The need for the project was critical as the water supply and sanitation infrastructure in Iraq\u00a0was affected by years of political turmoil.\u00a0 Three decades of war, combined with limited environmental awareness, destroyed\u00a0Iraq’s\u00a0water and wastewater resources management\u00a0system. As a result\u00a0Iraq has faced challenges in ensuring households have access to safe\u00a0drinking water\u00a0and sanitation services.<\/p>\n
TES are involved in the Al Shatra Project which is a landmark Sewerage Scheme aimed at significantly improving sanitation services within Baghdad.\u00a0 The Al Shatra Sewerage Scheme is an extensive project which, upon completion shall have a maximum input capacity of 63,000m3\/day.<\/p>\n
This contract marks another success in TES\u2019s international development.\u00a0 The company has completed a number of extensive projects in the Middle East and it is the second significant Iraqi based project, having completed a half million pound contract for the Ministry of Municipality and Public Works in 2011.<\/p>\n
